World Works Games, the creative group that sells printable 3-D terrain has teamed up with Wyrd minis to produce what I believe to be the coolest thing to hit gameing since Army Builder. It's called TerraClips. Now, they were supposed to release it last year at Gen Con. But, when the sets arrived, they were not happy with the quality of the manufacturing and cancelled the release until they had a better product to release. They have it now and it looks terrific!
While the three initial sets are being called Sewers of Malifaux, Streets of Malifaux and Buildings of Malifaux, I think that RPG Game Masters, other skirmish games and even large scale miniature battles will find them useful. Basically, if you use miniatures in your games, these will be pretty cool for you.
I have not seen them in person yet (I'll be checking them out at Gen Con. But, I've watched the videos and have heard from people who've had access to the prerelease sets that Wyrd sent out to various people to review. And all the claims seem true. I'll come back after Gen Con with a better review. But, wanted to let people know about this product so they can order early. The claims are that each set contains enough 3-D terrain to fill a 3x3 table. Now knowing what I know about Malifaux, this is a LOT of terrain. Eric J., one of the muckity mucks at Wyrd said it's probably a little light for Malifaux. But, with a few small pieces it will be good for a game of Malifaux. This means it should be perfect for almost every other game or RPG.
Well, I'll let you guys check it out. I'll be back after Gen Con with a Hands-On review.
